adding detail with twine

Today I am sharing the last of my projects for my Guest Designer month with Trendy Twine.

Dressing up pre-printed "tails" are an easy way to add some fun and dimension to any project. I used the Berries Jubilee Trendy Twine to do so on a 3x4 patterned paper piece as well as a sticker.

I added some Glossy accents to the butterflies since they looked so flat on the paper after I applied the twine.

You can find this great twine color along with many more by visiting the Annie's Paper Boutique store

bee happy {card}

This is the newest project I created for Perfect Paper Crafting. It's also my first time using ink and a stencil to create a background. I can see where I need to improve my skills on creating more depth the different shades of ink, but all in all, I love how it turned out!

comp book and pencil pouch

I am sharing another project I created for my GDT month for Trendy Twine

Keeping with the back to school theme, I created this comp book and felt pencil pouch set with one of the August Spotlight Colors, Berries Jubilee Trendy Twine

Instead of using floss, I stitched the felt die cut pencil pouch with the Berries Jubilee Trendy Twine. It's not as "neat" as it might have been using the floss, but it looks cool and works just the same. :)

I also added a twine bow and accent piece along seam.

peek-a-boo ... I see you!

It's time for another fantastic sketch from The Memory Nest! Make it Monday No. 69 is full of fun layers and possibilities.

I kept direct to the sketch minus one center panel/photo. I just adore these sweet photos of my granddaughter playing peek-a-boo with a clear plastic lid. Oh, the precious innocence of a 15 month old. Anything is fair game when they think they are outsmarting you. lol

cardstock: JoAnne

twine: The Twinery

spray mists: Shimmerz

happy days at the lake

The newest challenge on the Picture This ! blog is live. This time we want you to use your not so perfect photo/s.

I had several photos of Emily that were dark, taken far away which created a small, unclear subject, and fuzzy. This was the perfect challenge to use them, and grouped together they work well.

Head on over to the Picture This ! challenge blog to see what the team came up with and don't be shy- share your layout with your not so great photo! We'd love to see how you creatively used it/them! :)

Back to School Supply Bags featuring Trendy Twine

I am back again today with another fun back to school project for Trendy Twine

I gathered a few fun school supplies and added them to the Skinny Candy Bags and the
Medium Candy Bags which I finished off with several great Trendy Twine colors.

These fun elephant paper clips fit perfectly into one of the Skinny Candy Bags and I used  some of the In The Navy Trendy Twine and Totally Sky Trendy Twine to finish it off.

I found these cute pencil chompers and added them to a Medium Candy Bag and finished off  with a simple bow tied using the Totally White Trendy Twine

The next two items again feature the Skinny Candy Bags along with one of the August Spotlight Colors, Berries Jubilee Trendy Twine. One can never have too many pencils or erasers. ;)

Here are all the fabulous products that I used:

Study card and snack set- Trendy Twine

Hi! I am up on the Trendy Twine blog sharing my first project as the August Guest Designer. I am so excited to have this opportunity. :)

My assigned theme is back to school so for my first project I created a study card and snack set featuring the beautiful Berries Jubilee Trendy Twine

I added the Berries Jubilee Trendy Twine to the edges of the alphabet print patterned paper. There are three strips glued to one side where the tag is also tied with double piece. The other side has two strips glued down.

The candy snacks have been wrapped in patterned paper and then a double length of twine has been wrapped around them. The tag also featured a double strand of the Berries Jubilee Trendy Twine like the card.

Thanks for stopping by! I hope I have inspired you to create a little study snack.
