Hello! :) I am showcasing some more great ribbon and trim from 3 Girl JAM today.

Merry Christmas bear {card} and a fun announcement

Hi! I have some fun news to share- I have been invited to be on the Craftin Desert Divas Digi Design Team! :) This will be a fun new adventure for me and I am looking forward to stretching my creativity.

Here is my first project as a DT member. I used the Winter Bear Digi Stamp.

I tried to make his fur appear a bit matted to make him look softer. I am delighted with how to the sheen on his hat turned out, too!

I added some Glossy Accents to the poinsettia, the white in his eyes, and the red on the candy cane to add a bit of texture.

I have also created a new facebook page just to share my crafty creations. I would love to have you "like" it. I tried to use the play on my name as I have here on the blog, but fb wouldn't allow it. Go figure.

polar bear felt gift card holder

Don't you love it when you get an idea and it not only works well, but comes together easily? This is one of those projects.

Most of my children are away, so I am always looking for fun ways to send them gifts for special occasions. When I was using the Stitched In Circles die set for several of my latest projects, I had an idea to incorporate felt and see what would transpire. I am going to make several more of these in the near future.

supplies:
felt
dies: Craftin Desert Divas Stitched In Circles
ribbon: 3 Girl JAM
button
sequins
sticker: Echo Park

I am also entering this project into the Make It Sparkle Craftin Desert Divas linky party- week 2.

grateful for you {card}

Hello! :) I am sharing a card featuring several wonderful products from 3 Girl JAM store.

The background of this card was created by gluing three of the colored Jute Ribbons from the Jute Ribbon & String pack onto white cardstock. I did overlap on the cream jute ribbon as it is a bit wider than the merlot and sunflower colors.

I then added the sentiment and finished off with some Green Jeans crinkle ribbon from the Saturday Morning bundle and the Charcoal crinkle ribbon from the Rustic Country Bundle
The button on the flower on the ribbon is from the Vintage Buttons pack

supplies:
Jute, crinkle ribbon and button: 3 Girl JAM
cardstock
pp and stickers: Echo Park
flowers: Wild Orchid
stick on brads: JoAnn

I am sharing a layout I created using the Make it Monday No. 49 sketch from The Memory Nest. It's been awhile since I have created a layout as my focus seems to have switched to cards and projects as well as trying new things. Maybe it's the time of year, but either way it was nice to create a layout for a change.

It definitely went in a direction of its own, but the bones of the sketch are there. ;)

I added some stitching to the hearts as a dimensional detail.

supplies:
pp: Pebbles
wooden arrow
twine
dies: Craftin Desert Divas

owl I want for Christmas is hoo {card}

I have been having such a great time coloring these adorable stamped images from Craftin Desert Diva's! I used both watercolor pencils and markers for the coloring as well as some puff paint to add dimension. I colored several layers to add some texture and the effect is quite lovely in person.

I stamped and colored two gifts, then cut out the ribbon on the second and layered onto this one. It adds just a tough of dimension and is a detail that is likely to go unnoticed.

supplies:
pp: Webster's Pages
ribbon
colored pencils
markers
sequins

happy owl-days {card}

Today I am sharing another card with stamped and colored images. (go me! lol) I used markers in this one, and I greatly prefer the look of a marker over colored pencil.

It's a bit difficult to see, but this card is full of shimmer. I sprayed some silver mist on the pp to give it a nice sheen. The light purple sheer ribbon also shimmers.

supplies:
white cardstock
pp: Webster's Pages and Studio Calico
dies and stamp: Craftin Desert Divas
shimmer mist: Maya Road
ribbon: white 3 Girl JAM and sheer unknown
rhinestones
ink
markers

The card base was created using the largest Stitched In Circle die

There are also several layers to the card using the die set.

I am entering this card into the current Linky Party- Make It Sparkle- on the Craftin Desert Divas blog.

Christmas tree {box}

I have stepped out of my scrappy comfort zone and tried something new (at least new to me). In the fourteen years I have been scrapping, I have never, ever colored a stamped image- can you believe that?! I have been on two stamp MF teams and one digital image team, and not once did I ever color an image- I always stamped on patterned paper and fussy cut/layered as needed.

So, today I will be sharing my first attempt at coloring with a project I completed this morning. :)

supplies:
paper mache ornament, pearls, and rhinestones: Michael's
pp: MME
stamps and die cuts: Craftin Desert Divas
sequins: Hazel & Ruby
watercolor pencils: Prima
white gel pen
Glossy Accents
white cardstock
ink

This started as a 2.5x2.5 square paper mache ornament from M's that I painted white and covered it with some gold-dotted vellum along the sides and a coordinating dotted pp on the top.

I stamped the adorable Owl-day images onto white cardstock and then colored with watercolor pencils. I tried to give the owls some dimension, and I did OK, but clearly I have a long way to go with my coloring skills. lol I fussy cut them and used some Glossy Accents to add a bit of dimension to things like the scarves. trim on hat, and belt buckles.

The gifts were stamped, colored then cut and adhered around the tree.

The sentiments were stamped and I cut into banners.

In addition to the stamps, I used the Stitched in Circles dies to create the circles, wreaths and Christmas tree on top.

This came together easily and the longest part was the drying process.

I have submitted this to the Craftin Desert Divas Linky Party. The current theme is Make It Sparkle, which this project fits nicely into with the sequins, gold dots, and rhinestones.

Thanks for stopping by!
